25th Anniversary of Trafford - 1929

In 1929 a group of Trafford residents put together a small publication to celebrate the first twenty-five years on their beloved town. The foreword written in the publication is as relevant today as it was back then. “If you are interested in local history, the facts in this booklet will be both stimulating and helpful.”

This booklet was copied from the collection of Lynn Lloyd, a former resident of Trafford. Lynn’s family understood the importance of preserving local history and we are grateful for the relics that have been preserved and shared.

The booklet was scanned into three parts to allow the document to load faster on most computers. It is also a searchable PDF document to allow users to find names and places faster, particularly if you are researching your family history.

The ribbon above was worn by Fred Reed, one of the original residents of Trafford from 1904 to 1929. The button proclaims "ONE OF THE 1000" referring to the first one thousand residents of Trafford City. By the 25th Anniversary, the population was about 4,500 residents.
