David T. Minto
David T. Minto (1921-1990) formerly of Sixth Street, Trafford, was once the Pennsylvania State Commander for the American Legion, the voice for nearly 260,000 Pennsylvania Legionnaires. He appears in this photo taken on the steps of the United States Capitol, accompanied by other State Commanders who attended a conference held in Washington DC.
On January 20, 1973, the Trafford American Legion Post 331 held a testimonial dinner in honor of Minto, the only life-member of the Trafford Post, who served three years in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, fourteen months of which were in the South Pacific and with the Army of Occupation in Japan.
