Hidden Still
A trap door in the basement of a Trafford home concealed the family still that was hidden away for decades. I’m posting this video on the anniversary of the National Prohibition Act (aka Volstead Act) that passed on October 28, 1919. The Volstead Act implemented the 18th Amendment leading to the prohibition of alcohol in the United States. I’m guessing this trap door got at least six years of use until the Act was repealed on February 20, 1933. Cheers.
