Trafford Historical Society Holiday Photo Contest Rules

1. Eligibility:
The contest is open to all residents of Trafford, and surrounding areas.
Participants must be 18 years or older. Minors can participate with parental consent.

2. Entry Guidelines:
Each participant can submit only 1photo.
Photos must be holiday-themed and taken within the Trafford area.
Entries must be original works and not previously published or entered in other contests.

3. Submission Process:
Photos must be submitted digitally via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by December 2, 2024.
Each submission should include the participant’s name, contact information, and a brief description of the photo (location, date taken, and any relevant details).

4. Photo Requirements:
Photos should be in JPEG or PNG format.
Minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
No watermarks, signatures, or any identifying marks on the photos.

5. Judging Criteria:
Creativity and originality.
Relevance to the holiday theme.
Composition and technical quality.
Overall impact and storytelling.

6. Judging Process:
A panel of judges from the Trafford Historical Society will review all entries.
Judging will take place during the “Trafford Holiday Happenings” event on December 7, 2024.
The winner will be announced after the event and notified via email.

7. Prizes:
The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate.
The winning photo will be featured on the Trafford Historical Society Facebook page and website.

8. Rights and Usage:
By entering the contest, participants grant the Trafford Historical Society the right to use their photos for promotional purposes, including social media, website, and event displays.
Participants retain copyright of their photos.

9. Disqualification:
Any entry that does not comply with the rules will be disqualified.
The Trafford Historical Society reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate or offensive.

By entering, each participant agrees to release and hold harmless Trafford Historical Society and its members, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, and promotion agencies, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) such participant’s participation in the contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the contest, (iii) electronic or human error in the administration of the contest or the processing of entries. This contest is governed by the laws of the United States and Pennsylvania, without respect to conflict of law doctrines. As a condition of participating in this contest, participants agree that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Pennsylvania having jurisdiction. By participating in the contest, entrants have affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules and Regulations.
