Early members of the Women's Club
A booklet printed in 1938 by E.E. Bandy Printing illustrates the names of some of Trafford’s early members of the Trafford Women’s Club. The name “Feigert’s” appears in the center of the one page referring to the restaurant that was once located at 208 Fifth Street, under the old bank building. The restaurant was operated by James A. Feigert (1894-1945), and his wife Margaret Vogelsong Feigert (1894-1964), a member of the Women’s Club. In December 1936, Mrs. Feigert and the Trafford Women’s Club hosted the President of the Congress of Clubs to talk about community opportunities, and Mrs. Feigert read a paper to the group entitled "The Club and The Community." Following the death of her husband James Feigert in 1945, the restaurant was reopened as Daniel’s Restaurant from 1947 to 1953, followed by Jo’s Restaurant, operated by Josephine McCann, starting in 1954.
