Trafford’s Bicentennial Parade
Who remembers home movies without the audio? This film of Trafford’s Bicentennial Parade was recorded by Vic Capets in 1976 while standing in front of the former Mikan Motors garage (now the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home) at 702 7th Street. Despite the poor quality of the 8mm film that has deteriorated over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the fact that films like this still exist. It’s nice to be able to catch a glimpse of family and friends who participated in the celebration of our Nation’s Independence in 1976, forty-seven years ago…let that sink in as you watch this video. Enjoy your Independence Day!
