Wild West Days - Dr. Todd
The early days of Trafford must have been a “wild west” sort of setting for the people living and working in town. Based on comments shared by Dr. D.O. Todd when asked to reflect on his early days in Trafford for a 50th Anniversary commemoration, there was one particular comment cited that certainly stands out as a very different time than what we can relate to today.
“The construction work brought the usual camp of laborers. Some very nice and some rather tough customers. The first year I removed eleven bullets. I carried a gun both night and day. On two occasions the gun proved very useful.” Dr. Devillo Otis Todd (1872-1961)
