Trafford History

The Trafford Historical Society typically meets inside the Trafford Library on the first Wednesday of each month.

Our next meeting is scheduled June 4, 2025 at 6:00 PM inside the Trafford Public Library.

How did the B.Y. Park get its name?

In the spring of 1888, the Turtle Creek Valley Railroad, headed by George Westinghouse, began construction of a railroad line from the Pennsylvania Railroad main line in South Trafford to Murrysville.
